Three Crosses is the first legal distillery in Powhatan County, Virginia. We proudly hand-craft spirits to our exacting standards. Truly a hobby that got out of hand, our current 150 and 250-gallon stills are hand-built in Missouri by Affordable Distilling Company. Together, we have created an environment where people can come in and enjoy handcrafted spirits while making some new friends; that’s what Three Crosses Distilling Co. is all about.
We thank Powhatan and the nearby communities for beign so welcoming and supporthing this business endeavor. With that in mind, we try to source as many ingredients locally as possible. The corn and rye that are used for our Route 13 Moonshine and Three Crosses American Whiskey are grown in Powhatan County by Engle Family Farms. While we’d love to get sugar and molasses for our Crossed Rifles Rums from Virginia, they simply aren’t grown here commercially anymore. So, we sourced them from a seventh-generation sugar consortium, Lula-Westfield in Belle Rose, Louisiana. Both the Lula and Westfield sugar processing plants date back to the late 1800s.
As we continue to develop and roll out new spirits, we intend to continue to source as many ingredients as possible from local growers and suppliers.
Just a perfect place. Wife and I - and Grizzy our German Shepherd - pulled in and sat fireside on the outdoor patio. Over the top hosts - food was great, drinks were an amazing adventure, and the food was outrageously good. Grizzy loved the treat they offered her too!
Best drinks around, awesome service, and relaxing atmosphere. The menu is forever changing to meet anyone's taste buds!!! Dogs are welcome and get spoiled with pup treats and love if you want to bring them!
